The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) gives notice of a public hearing and comment period concerning the redesignation request and maintenance plan for the Baltimore Nonattainment Area for the 2008 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).
The virtual public hearing will be held on June 30, 2026 at 10:00 am.

Comments will be accepted between May 26, 2026 and June 30, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. and may also be submitted at the hearing. Comments may be sent to the Planning Program, Maryland Department of the Environment, Air and Radiation Management Administration, 1800 Washington Boulevard, Suite 730, Baltimore, MD, 21230 or emailed to [email protected]. After MDE considers the comments received, MDE will finalize and submit the plan to the United States Environmental Protection Agency for approval.
