Energy Rebate Race

Don't miss out on valuable rebates for cost-saving energy upgrades!

Thank you to the Maryland Green Registry and Maryland Green Travel Partners that participated in the 2016 Energy Rebate Race. Names were drawn for a prize drawing at the June 14, 2016 Maryland Green Registry Leadership Awards event and the winners were Ascentis Real Estate Partners, Hamilton Associates, Harford County Public Schools, Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and University of Maryland University College. The winners chose between a light meter or Kill a Watt electricity monitor supplied by the Maryland Energy Administration and BGE/ ICF.

The Rebate Race may be over, but the opportunity to receive rebates on a variety of services and upgrades is not. If your organization could benefit from an energy audit, new lighting, HVAC system, appliances and other equipment, information is just a phone call away.

How do I take advantage of the EmPower Utility Rebates?

Start by going to the Energy Savers for businesses page of your utility company's website. There you will find a list of contractors that can perform audits on lighting fixtures and controls, assist with the rebate application process and even offer financing. Rebates are also available for HVAC and other equipment. Small businesses may need to use pre-approved contractors for maximum benefits. For more information, visit your utilty’s website: BGE, Delmarva Power, Pepco, Potomac Edison, SMECO, and Washington Gas.
