MDE Educational Outreach

MDE’s educational programs provide resources for classroom teachers, outdoor educators, club leaders and others to teach students about our environment.  Students of all ages gain an understanding of the environmental challenges our State faces and how MDE meets those challenges.

*In most cases our offices are able to accomodate requests for information. If you are a student, please note we require at least five days to gather information on your subject topic.  Please plan accordingly with your project deadline.

For teachers or community groups interested in requesting materials or a speaker for your next event, please give our offices at least one month prior to the event to review your request.  We will try our best to grant your request, however, approval is contingent on availbility of materials and subject experts.
