To better serve Maryland citizens on a more local level, the state has been divided into four regions with managers assigned to each region who live locally, and tasked with dealing with issues in their specific areas:
Western Maryland | Central | Eastern Maryland
While the regional managers make a practice of visiting sites in their regions quite frequently, they can always be reached during business hours. The regional managers are a key element in the Maryland Department of the Environment's efforts to enhance the effectiveness of multimedia projects and overall responsiveness to our "customers."
Western Maryland region includes Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, Montgomery, and Washington Counties.
The Central Maryland region includes Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Charles, Harford, Howard, Prince George's, and St. Mary's Counties as well as Baltimore City.
Eastern Maryland Field Offices
The Eastern Shore region includes Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties.
