Congratulations to the 2014 Maryland Green Registry Leadership Award Winners!

The Maryland Green Registry Leadership Awards were announced by the Maryland Department of the Environment Secretary Robert M. Summers on June 11, 2014 at an evening networking event held in partnership with Bethesda Green and hosted by the Courtyard by Marriott Chevy Chase. The 2014 award winners represent a variety of facility types (from office space to manufacturing) and sizes (from 38 to 1,400 employees), but all have the same key factors in common that contribute to their success: an organization-wide commitment to environmental performance, a green team that meets on a regular basis, annual environmental goals, and measurement of results.  Learn more about this year's Leadership Award winners and how these organizations developed their outstanding environmental programs.

The collective annual environmental results of all Maryland Green Registry members was also announced at the event.  Members continue to report greater efficiency in resource use and other improvements to their environmental performance and have been rewarded with over $79 million in cost savings. Please be sure to check out those results here.

Thanks to all who came and joined us at the 5th Annual Maryland Green Registry Awards and Membership Meeting.  Event photos can be found here.
