Introduction

This site is a 50 acre (44 acres forested, 2 acres scrub-shrub, 4 acres emergent) wetland restoration located on the Pocomoke River Area - Upper Pocomoke River (02-13-02-03) watershed of Worcester County. 


Construction

In Spring/Summer 2001, the Maryland Department of the Environment, in conjunction with the landowners and the Worcester Soil Conservation District converted this previously drained forest land back into forested wetland.                 


Status

This site has developed into a successful wetland system and provides valuable wetland functions to the landscape.  This site is on private property.
