            | Introduction The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Wetlands of Special State Concern Contract #1 is an enhancement of 59 acres of Delmarva Bays & other Wetlands of Special State Concern by management of invasive species.  Of the total 59 acres, 42 acres are located in the Upper Choptank River Area (02-13-04-05) watershed, 5 acres are located in the Upper Chester River Area (02-13-05-10) watershed, and 12 acres are located in the Tuckahoe Creek (02-13-04-05) watershed.  | 
    
    
        
            | Construction During the period between 2002 and the present, a coordinated effort between the Maryland Department of the Environment and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, has resulted in controlling of invasive plant species on extensive areas of land.                  | 
    
    
        
            | Status DNR is conducting ongoing monitoring.   The sites are doing well and appear successful.      |
