State Board of Well Drillers

Formation, Purpose, Composition, and Appointment of Members

The Board was established under Title 13 of the Environment Article, Sections 13-101 through 13-602 in the Annotated Code of Maryland. Information on the board's purpose, composition, and the appointment of members is linked here.

 

Meeting Information

The Board is scheduled to meet on the either the third or the fourth Wednesday of each month.  Board meetings are held at the Maryland Department of the Environment and are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.     Public notice of each Board meeting appears in the Maryland Register approximately two weeks before the meeting date and the public is invited to attend.

 

Licensing Examinations are now Available in Spanish

Board of Well Driller licensing examinations are now available in Spanish. Please indicate you would like the Spanish version when you submit your payment and application to take the exam. Notice must be provided to the Board at least two weeks prior to the examination date.

Vacancy Notice:

Coming January 1, 2024 the Board will have one vacancy for the Southern slot (Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George's, or St. Mary's County). If you are interested in serving on the Board and would like to be considered for the vacancy, please complete this Application for Appointment.
