The Dan's Mountain State Park scrap tire playground was built in April of 1998.

Directions

From Baltimore, take Interstate 70 West past Frederick and Hagerstown. At Hancock, take Interstate 68 West towards Morgantown and Cumberland. Follow I-68 past Cumberland and continue West toward Frostburg. Take Route 36 South for 6-7 miles to Lonaconing. Upon entering Lonaconing, there will be a large brown wooden sign on your left indicating Dan's Mountain State Park. Turn left onto Water Station Run for approximately 2 miles. The scrap tire playground is adjacent to the swimming pool.​
