This site is a 10.3 acre forested wetland restoration located in the Upper Chester River (02130510) watershed.

Construction

In Spring 2008, the Maryland Department of the Environment, Biophilia Foundation, Queen Anne’s County Soil Conservation District, and Chesapeake Wildlife Heritage coordinated to restore this agricultural land to wetlands through construction and planting.

Status

While initial observations indicate that this project has resulted in a successfully functioning wetland system, future monitoring will be conducted to confirm these observations.  This site is located on private property.
