June 28, 2018, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Maryland Green Registry Leadership Awards Event.  This event, held in partnership with One Montgomery Green, will be at beautiful Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. Stay tuned for more details.

RMI Energy Efficiency Program Available Now:  Manufacturers in the Pepco and Delmarva service areas with more than $80,000 in annual electrical costs are eligbile for up to $20,000 in energy efficiency services at no cost.  Click here for more information.

Discounts on stormwater protection measures: The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy has a grant to install best management practices (BMPs) including rain barrels, bayscapes, rain gardens, and microbioretention gardens at a 50 -80% discount at business properties in Bird River, Middle River, Tidal Gunpowder, watersheds. Learn more here. Projects must be installed by December 15, 2017.

Green Events Baltimore:  This site tracks events around Baltimore aiming to keep the green community connected, educated and inspired.

Annapolis Green:  This organization also keeps a calendar of local and statewide events.

U.S. Green Building Council Maryland: This organization offers educational and networking events, as well as training for credential maintenance. See upcoming events here.

Technical Assistance News:

Food Waste Reduction: MDE will be providing technical assistance to at least two food waste production facilities to reduce food waste, energy and water usage in early 2018. Contact laura.armstrong for more information.

Chesapeake Bay Seed Capital Fund

This fund will invest $250,000 annually over a three-year period in Maryland-based startup companies with innovative technologies that may help improve air and water quality in the Chesapeake Bay area. For more information, go to

Maryland Green Registry Wins National Award

The Maryland Green Registry was awarded the Most Valuable Pollution Prevention (MVP2) by the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable.  The award recognizes outstanding and innovative pollution prevention projects and programs that demonstrate measurable results and optimization of available project resources.
