Motor vehicles account for about 30-40% of the ozone-causing pollutants in the Baltimore and Washington areas. Car-pooling, using public transit, working from home, and driving energy efficient vehicles are all ways to help decrease the amount of ozone in the air we breathe, and make a difference on Air Quality Action Days.
