Surfriders Give High Marks for Water Quality in Ocean City

The Surfriders organization USA is a non-profit environmental organization working to preserve our oceans, waves and beaches.

On August 18, 2005 Mike Brian (chapter chairman) and Kip Martin (vice chair) of the Surfrider Foundation (SRF) Maryland Chapter, presented their State of the Beach Report to MDE Secretary Kendl P. Philbrick on the beach at Ocean City Maryland. The report, which rates beaches around the world, gives Maryland's water quality an 8 out of 10 which indicates very good water quality.
