Why
Maryland has made great progress in working toward restoring the Chesapeake Bay to its former glory. Through the Phase II Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP), MDE is working together with other State agencies, federal and local governments, non-profit organizations, advocates and citizens to help find cost-effective solutions for compliance with federal standards to ensure that the Chesapeake Bay is fully restored to a healthy resource for future generations to enjoy. There will also be a special announcement to encourage Maryland children and their families to learn more about what they can do to help Maryland reclaim the Bay.
