2nd Place – Creativity Category: Julianna Sharpless, 12th grader at Southern Garrett High School in Garrett County, for her “Dragon”.
1st Place – People’s Choice: Lauren Johnson, 12th grader at Smithsburg High School in Washington County, for her “Great Blue Heron” sculpture made from chicken wire and zip ties.
2nd Place – People’s Choice: Andrew Pressly, 12th grader at Middletown High School in Frederick County created “Steve the Elephant”.
1st Place - Use of Materials: Olivia Borum, 10th grader at South Carroll High School in Carroll County, for her sculpture “A Simpler Time” made of reused puzzle pieces and buttons.
2nd Place – Use of Materials: Ryan Dunn, 12th grader at Century High School in Carroll County, for his sculpture “Countdown to our Self-Manufactured Downfall”.
1st Place – Workmanship: Margaret McGill, 12th grader at C. Milton Wright High School in Harford County, for her sculpture “Anglerfish” made using compact discs, nails, and light bulbs.
2nd Place – Workmanship: Carl Freeman, 11th grader at Huntingtown High School in Calvert County, for his creation “Night Fury”.
