 ​NOTICE - Permit Issued (effective October 27, 2022) ​​​​​​

The Maryland Department of the Environment has made a final determination regarding a groundwater discharge permit for the Trappe East Wastewater Treatment Facility, located at the east end of Backdown Road, Trappe, Maryland.  The permit authorizes and regulates the discharge of an average of 10​​0,000​ gallons per day of treated ​domestic wastewater to groundwater via a spray irrigation system​.  Information regarding the final determination is presented on the page below:
