NOTICE - Renewal Permit Issued (effective September 1, 2026)
The Department has issued the renewal permit for the General Permit for the Discharge of Composting Toilet Wastewater to Groundwater by Land Application, effective September 1, 2026. Existing permittees (registered under the previous 18-GP permit) must submit a Notice of Intent no later than February 28, 2027 to prevent a lapse in coverage.

NOTICE - New Online Service Center
The Department now has the online Environmental Service Center, which applicants can use to easily submit new NOIs, modification requests, notice of terminations, and pay permit fees.
It should be noted that at this time, all permittees, regardless of what type of submission they make through the system, will need to sign and mail in a Signature Card, which can be found below:

Previous Permit
The 18-CT General Permit became effective August 1, 2018 and expired on July 31, 2023.
