​General Permit for the Discharge of Composting Toilet Wastewater to Groundwater by Land Application

Important Announcement

The Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a new general permit for the discharge of composting toilet wastewater to groundwater via land application. ​

Current individual permit holders will be contacted when their permit is up for renewal and be given the opportunity to apply for this general permit instead of the individual permit. The general permit will have cost savings for the permittee.
