As part of World Water Monitoring Day, students from Digital Harbor High School in Baltimore learned about water quality and assisted staff from MDE’s Water Quality Monitoring Team to measure water quality in the Inner Harbor. The students added their data to data collected from students around the world on the World Water Monitoring Day website. World Water Monitoring Day is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies. Results are shared with participating communities around the globe through the web site.
