BALTIMORE, MD (August 30, 2004) – The fourth meeting of the Water Security and Wastewater Systems Advisory Council /Interagency Technical Assistance Committee on Wastewater Treatment Systems will take place Tuesday, Sept. 7 in the Terra Conference Room at the Maryland Department of the Environment headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. The groups will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Water Security and Wastewater Systems Advisory Council will focus on matters relating to the security of water and wastewater facilities, chlorine and alternative disinfections and new technologies.
The Interagency Technical Assistance Committee will focus on technical assistance to small and medium communities, user rates, public education, infrastructure needs and costs, and water and sewer planning. The meetings will include reports from various subcommittees, future meeting dates, times and locations, and a continued general discussion of how to efficiently address the broad mandates of the groups.
