Final TMDLs Approved by EPA: Wells Cove, Kent Narrows/Prospect Bay

Kent Narrows - Prospect Bay is located on Maryland's Eastern Shore in Queen Anne's County.  Kent Narrows - Prospect Bay (basin number 02130504) was first identified on the 1996 303(d) List submitted to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).  The designated uses in Kent Narrows - Prospect Bay were impaired by sediments, nutrients, and fecal coliform in tidal portions.  On the 2004 303(d) List, the fecal coliform listing was clarified by the identification of Wells Cove as the specific area of impairment.  The document available below establishes a TMDL of fecal coliform for Wells Cove.   The nutrient and suspended sediment impairments within the Kent Narrows - Prospect Bay basin will be addressed at a future date.
