2005-2008 Advisory Committee on the Management and Protection of the State's Water Resources

In its May 2004 report, the first Advisory Committee on the Management and Protection of the State's Water Resources recommended that a second committee be formed to follow up on the recommendations outlined in the report and to continue studying the complex issues related to managing Maryland's water supplies.  Executive Order 01.01.2005.25 established a second committee, which began meeting in September 2005.

The committee is charged with reviewing available information, assessing the adequacy of current programs and policies, and developing a comprehensive strategy to ensure the adequacy of the State's water resources to meet current and future demand for water through 2030.  The committee is to produce a final report by July 2008, with an interim report due by July 2006.
