Introduction

This project includes a 0.4 acre emergent nontidal wetland creation located in the Savage River watershed (02141006) of Allegheny County. 


Construction

The Maryland Department of the Environment, in conjunction with the Savage River Watershed Association and the City of Frostburg, created this wetland in fall 2010.  The site was previously a municipal water supply pond.​
