Introduction

This project includes 18 acres emergent/open water nontidal wetland creation located in the Lower Choptank watershed (02130403) of Talbot County. 


Construction

The Maryland Department of the Environment, in conjunction with the Talbot County Soil Conservation District, Natural Resource Conservation Service and the landowner, constructed and planted this wetland in fall 2010-spring 2012.  The site was previously in row crops.​
