Introduction

This site is an 11.4 acre forested wetland restoration/creation located in the Kent Island Bay Area (02130511) watershed of Queen Anne's County. This project is part of a larger 23 acre forested wetland creation sponsored by the county.​


Construction

In summer/fall 2006, the Maryland Department of the Environment, in conjunction with Queen Anne's County and the contractor, restored this wetland through minor grading and planting in areas that were rowcrops. This project is located on land owned by Queen Anne's County.
