Annual fine particle levels meet standards

Maryland was among a group of states that took successful legal action to require the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to issue a new, strengthened annual air standard for fine particle pollution to better protect public health. Measurements from all monitoring stations in counties across Maryland meet the recently strengthened federal standard.
