Capacity Management

Photo of a mother and daughter watering a plantHaving an adequate water supply that meets the existing and future water demand in a community is vital for public health protection. It is critical that water suppliers have accurate allocation information, combined with reasonable demand projections, and that they operate within their Water Appropriation Permit parameters and the limitations of their system to produce safe water.  This guidance document is intended to provide local jurisdictions and community water systems with a methodology to calculate available/allocable capacity and track allocation commitments.
