BALTIMORE, MD (February 21, 2008) – The Maryland Department of the Environment’s (MDE) Waste Management Administration issued the following enforcement actions between December 1, 2007 and
December 15, 2007 with penalties more than $5,000:

Denton, MD - 14 affected properties – On December 6, 2007, MDE issued an Administrative Complaint, Order and Penalty to James C. Darling equaling $30,000 for properties that were out of compliance with lead paint risk reduction standards.

Waynesboro, MD - 1 affected property – On December 6, 2007, MDE issued an Administrative Complaint, Order and Penalty to Jose A. Navarro equaling $22,000 for a property that was out of compliance with lead paint risk reduction standards

Goldsboro, MD – 8 affected properties – On December 11, 2007, MDE issued an Administrative Complaint, Order and Penalty to David M. Sakers and Yvonne M. Sakers equaling $65,000 for properties that were out of compliance with lead paint risk reduction standards.
