BALTIMORE, MD (February 21, 2008) – The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Water Management Administration Compliance Program issued the following enforcement actions between January 1 and January 30, 2007:

  • B&W Marine Construction, Inc.

    AA County, A Settlement Agreement was executed on December 14, 2007 to resolve violations that occurred at 314 S. Riverside Dr., Crownsville. The Department penalized the contractor $5,000 for constructing a replacement bulkhead in tidal waters without authorization. The Department received payment of $5,000 on 1/2/08 for final satisfaction

  • David and Karen Leimbach

    AA County, - A Consent Decree was finalized on 11/15/07 related to a violation of tidal wetlands. The Leimbach’s are to remove the unauthorized fill placed in tidal waters and restore the area in accordance with a remediation plan to be approved by the MDE. They also are to pay a $5,000 penalty with payments beginning on February 15, 2008.

  • Mark and Laurie Donze

    AA County, - Mr. and Mrs. Donze constructed an unauthorized bulkhead at 314 S. Riverside Dr., Crownsville. In the settlement agreement, the Department is requiring the placement of stone in front of the unauthorized bulkhead and penalized the homeowner $2,500 constructing a bulkhead in tidal waters without authorization. The Department received payment of $2,500 on 1/22/08. The remainder of the work will be completed within 6 months from the final execution date of the Settlement Agreement.
