States Adopting California's Clean Cars Standards 


In 2007 Maryland became the 12th state to adopt Clean Cars legislation, implementing California’s stricter vehicles emission standards. A number of states are currently considering adopting the standards.

The following 14 states (and their supporting legislation) have adopted California’s vehicle emission standards including the greenhouse gas standards for motor vehicles:
